4 days tour from Fes to Merzouga is highly recommended. During these 4 days, we will take you on a desert trip to discover the Moroccan desert. This desert tour starts in Fes and ends in Fes. You will enjoy taking pictures with wild monkeys and with long tress. We then continue the way through the Middle Atlas Mountain to Midelt. This is a small town where will have lunch. It is also the city of apples in Morocco. From the village of Rich, we select another road towards Todra Gorges. We will arrive in the evening and check in your accommodation. Finally, overnight and dinner are there.
On this next day of 4 days tour from Fes to Merzouga, we drive to the desert. Hence, after you have breakfast, you discover high rocks rising to 300 m in a narrow valley. Secondly, you can see some Berber villages along the way to Erfoud. We will drive to Touroug town to visit the Berber cloth cooperative. Then we pass by Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud towns. In Erfoud, you can visit a local market of dates and drive to Merzouga. Finally, you have a cup of tea at the hotel/Riad and spend your night there, including dinner.
After breakfast, we will start our desert tour by 4×4. Thus, we will explore the surrounding areas of the Merzouga desert. Firstly, we will start by visiting the village of Khamlia. The village is inhabited by Malian people who perform Gnawa music and dance. Moreover, we will visit nomad families who live near the border. You can see some Berber handicrafts and learn about their lives and enjoy Berber pizza there. Secondly, we will visit the spectacular Lake of Merzouga with a different bird. Finally, your camel guide will lead you to a well-equipped camp in the middle of the desert. There, you will enjoy a traditional dinner and listen to Berber music under the stars.
We recommend waking up early on this last day. You will enjoy the amazing sunrise on the dunes. And then, you take a shower and have breakfast and leave Merzouga. Next, we stop to visit a traditional market in Rissani town. Also, you will visit a fossil factory in Erfoud town. Secondly, we stop to enjoy a panoramic view of Ziz Valley. In Midelt, we will stop for lunch and drive to Ifrane via the Cedar Forests. Finally, you arrive in Fes in the evening. 4 days tour from Fes to Merzouga ends at your Riad or the airport.
